This is a batik of a powerful and high spirited horse. Earth tones were used to concentrate attention to the strength and striving of this horse.Large brushes were used when applying the wax to achieve a watercolor effect and the tjanting was used to add white accents. This batik went through several dyebaths to achieve these painterly effects.
